Wednesday, June 2, 2010 - The North Jersey Valkyries will step onto the field for the very first time tonight, opening up its inaugural W-League season against the New Jersey Rangers at DePaul Catholic HS at 8pm.   The excited from the players, staff and fans has been mounting over the past few weeks and as kick-off time approaches everyone involved is looking forward to finally getting the game underway. 

Saturday, May 15, 2010 - On Wednesday, June 2, at DePaul Catholic HS in Wayne, NJ, at 8pm, TSF Academy’s W-League Team - the North Jersey Valkyries - will take the field for it’s very first USL Eastern Conference Game.  The Valkyries will line up against fellow newcomers to the W-League, the New Jersey Rangers.  For the players and coaching staff, the wait is finally over. 

TSF Academy is excited to announce that Staff Coach Gemma Worsfold was recently drafted into the North Jersey Valkyries squad, and will be part of the teams inaugural season participating in the USL’s W-League.  Gemma has played in her native country of England for a number of years, playing for Southampton Ladies FC, helping them reach the English League Cup semi-final, as well as playing for Adur Athletic Ladies, who have just been crowned League Champions for third consecutive year. 

On Saturday, April 24 at Camp Dawson, Montville, NJ (4pm) The North Jersey Valkyries will play an Exhibition Scrimmage against the Montclair State University Women’s Soccer Team.  Lining up for the Valkyries will be former MSU Players Shirah Odeh and Stephanie Sabaliauskas, who were both members of the 2004 NJAC Championship winning MSU Team.  Shirah’s accomplishments include receiving NJAC 1^st Team recognition & MSU Player of the year in 2003.  Stephanie finished her college career with 41 goals and 13 assists. 

Monday, April 19, 2010 - The North Jersey Valkyries announced the signing of KristaLee Gentile, who graduated from Bucknell University in 2008.  A strong player who is clinical in front of goal, she joins a potent looking squad. 

Saturday, March 27, 2010 - With the North Jersey Valkyries season opener a little more than two months away, excitement is growing among youth soccer players at TSF Academy and within the local community.  The launch of the Junior Valkyries Fan Club has increased the awareness and many of the TSF Inter Academy players are taking advantage of the membership benefits being offered to them.

Friday, April 9, 2010 - Three players were added to the North Jersey Valkyries squad after tryouts were held over the spring break.  Amanda Cardona (Livingston, NJ) has been drafted into the backline, while Stephanie Austin ( Canonsburg, PA) can play in the defense or midfield joins fellow FDU player Katie Hilder on the squad.  Wayne resident Mariel Pepe completes the signings. 

Friday, March 12, 2010 - Members of the TSF Inter Academy had the opportunity to meet three of the North Jersey Valkyries earlier today as Ariana Ruela, Valerie Barnhart and Katie Hilder stopped by at their training sessions to answer questions about their career so far, what they are most looking forward to in the upcoming season, and to have photo’s taken and to sign anything from photo’s, to T-Shirts and even soccer cleats.

 Friday, February 26, 2010 - Ariana Ruela was called up to the Portuguese Full National Team in January to be part of the squad for the 2010 Algarve Cup taking place between February 24 - March 3.  The Portugal team’s schedule includes games against Faroe Islands, Romania & Austria.  

Ariana Ruela has been called up to the Portuguese Full National Team for its upcoming competition in the Algarve Cup - an international tournament held in the Algarve region of Portugal.  This annual event was first played in 1994, with this years event scheduled for Feb. 23-March 3.

The North Jersey Valkyries has added Australian-born Katie Hilder to its squad for the upcoming W-League season.  Katie, a Senior at Fairleigh Dickinson University, started 17 of 18 games this season, contributing 2 goals and 2 assists.  She has International experience, playing for the Australian U19 Team competing in the FIFA U19 World Cup Qualifying Tournament, scoring her first international goal against Papua new Guinea.
